Where is my data stored?
In secure, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure located in U.S. data centers. We use S3-compatible object storage with high durability and optional immutability to help protect against accidental deletion and ransomware.
Why is IT Lasso pricing higher than raw cloud storage rates I see online?
Public “per-TB” rates you see online usually cover storage only. IT Lasso Data Trunk™ includes storage plus enterprise management: daily backup health checks, monitoring & alerting, retention policies, encryption and immutability configuration, compliance reporting, restore assistance, and Disaster Recovery planning. You pay one predictable rate without managing raw cloud accounts.
What happens if my computer crashes or is replaced?
Your data remains safely stored in the cloud. Install the backup agent on the new device and sign in — we’ll link it to your existing backup set so you can restore files without starting over.
Do I have to pay extra to restore my files?
No. Internet restores are included with your plan. For urgent timelines, IT Lasso offers optional drive-based restore services; ask us for current pricing and delivery options.
How long is my data kept?
Standard retention is 30 days for deleted files and deactivated endpoints. Need more? We offer 1-year or unlimited retention tiers to meet compliance and legal hold requirements.
Where are M365/Google backups stored?
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace backups are encrypted and stored in our secure cloud with item-level restore, multi-tenant administration, and daily health reporting managed by IT Lasso.
